We are Mirela & Leonard, two Romanian expats who fell in love with the Adriatic Sea, and in 2015 we have decided to leave our big-city lives behind and make Dalmatia our home....and this is how it all started.
Water-resistant and durable, our unique jewellery pieces, inspired by our love for the sea, are all lovingly handmade by Leonard, in our Break Time Atelier & Flagship Store in Trogirska 8 Split.
Our original design stainless steel anchor and boat wrap bracelets are one-size-fits-all, adjustable for literally any wrist size - watch the video.
They are the perfect choice for gifts and we have several collections to choose from, and we have recommendations on which are best suited for kids, women or men.
Starting from the shape of an actual boat shackle and using high-quality sailing rope, we have created several collections of stainless steel bracelets.
They are all slightly adjustable (by 0.5 or 1 cm, depending on model) and in order to choose the right size to order, you have to measure your wrist. Watch our explanatory video.
We have this image about famous people, that they are different and untouchable... you know what I mean. Well, Oscar winner Jamie Foxx is most certainly an exception to the rule.
We got to meet him in Dubrovnik in 2017, when he was playing Little John in the new Robin Hood movie that was shot there.
Ever since then, everyone is asking us what was in that Break Time bag he was holding :)
2020 was undoubtedly the hardest year for our small business. But it still had some highlights, and one of them was us meeting first Max and Malia from Below Deck Med Season 2 (read more here) and then, cherry on top, we had such a beautiful surprise from Malia, she brought all her crew mates from Below Deck Med Season 6 to our shop to get souvenirs, after they finished filming (if you watch the Reunion episode of the season, they actually mention their visit to the best bracelets shop in Split).
But that was not our only Below Deck encounter - we also had the cool charter guests from episode 1 of Below Deck Sailing Season 2 visiting us (read more here) and buying Yacht Club anchor bracelets for the whole Parsifal III crew and for the whole BD production team.
Summer is here and we are ready to welcome you in our Trogirska 8 shop in Split with some familiar faces - myself (Mirela) and my partner in crime, Leonard.
We also have two new team members this year - Marie is from Lyon, France and she is doing her internship with us until July. And last, but not least, we recently welcomed Split-native Zara to our team, she is a medicine student and here with us throughout the summer.
